The Hermit

The Hermit was a site-specific performance as part of a self titled exhibition by Pavilion's Follies of Youth programme. The exhibition was a one night only affair with the historic building The Majestic, which was also housing Pavilion's Hyperspace exhibition.
The intention of the Follies of Youth is that they respond to heritage spaces such as The Majestic with a number of different art forms.

This performance for Follies of Youth depicts a myth constructed from a lack on inhabitation of the space: In the deep dark corners of the Majestic resides a Hermit who is ever gazing into it's crystal ball. Never resting. Never distracted. Existing solely for this one continual act.
